From 06/20/12 notes. On cask at FireWorks in Arlington, VA. Served in a pint glass.
a - Pours a clear orange-amber color with no head or carbonation evident.
s - Smells of fruity malts, pine hops, floral hops, some earthy notes. Nice, but not too hoppy or strong.
t - Tastes of sweet fruity malts, floral hops, pine hops, light citrus hops, earthy notes. Better than the nose as it is stronger and has more hops and fruit to it.
m - Very smooth, medium body and no carbonation. Pretty easy to drink.
o - Overall a pretty nice IPA. The nose was a tiny bit light, but the taste was great, and it was very easy to drink. Would like to have it again.

On-tap at Pizzeria Paradiso, Dupont Circle, Washington, D.C. - March 2012:
The beer appeared a bright orange color that produced a nice foamy white (I think, it was kind of dark in the restaurant) that had decent retention. The beer gave off a stronger hop aroma than the taste led on and the taste of the beer was obviously less hoppy than expected, but as another reviewer noted, this is probably more in line with an English IPA, it had a nice malt and hop balance, which was pleasant. The beer was smooth and easy to drink that had a nice amount of carbonation to it. Overall, a nice beer.
