"“The War Of 1812″ we’re fighting the war all over again, but with IPAs, both brewed to the same recipe but one brewed by me with all English malts/hops/yeast (Rule Britannia) and the other (God Bless America) brewed by Derek with all American malts/hops/yeast. Come in, try them both and choose your side!"

From 06/09/12 notes. Had on cask side by side with the American version "God Bless America" at Meridian Pint at their Drink Local event. As much as I love America, this version was significantly better.

a - Pours a clear amber color with one inch of off white head and no carbonation evident.

s - Smells of pale malts, fruity malts, light citrus hops, pine hops, and some earthy and floral notes. Not super strong but very nice.

t - Taste follows the nose; a lot of fruit and pale malts, light citrus and pine hops, some bread, and floral hops.

m - Medium body and no carbonation. Smooth and easy to drink, with no bitterness.

o - Overall a very nice IPA. Lots of fruit to it and some nice hops overall. Easy to drink and I liked it better than the American version. Would like to have it again.
