We were staying at the Days Inn so we didn't have very far to walk, an A+ for that. They had a good selection of their English style beers on tap, maybe 15-20. We were there around 4:30 in the afternoon, the place was kind of quiet, but when we left about 2 hours later, it was packed. The beers that I tried were all very good plus I had a decent size salad which was also very good. They also have seating outside for enjoying your beer on those nice summer days. If your near the Convention Center, you should check this place out. (534 characters)

Watch out for bronies! A My Little Pony convention that was happening across the street sure added a little oomph to the area, and indeed the Pratt Street Ale House. Tables spilling out onto the street, and nearly all tables full. The ale house is large, and there is a second floor which me and my brother were taken to. Even on the second level, multiple rooms were found, giving each area its own feel rather than a single large potluck of drunks. There was even a small bar near us! Great activity going on inside and outside, and it looks like little has changed with the cosmetics since its opening.

I knew that I was coming for a good time based on its beer menu. Many of the beers are based on the British tradition, and there were 14 listed (but out of two). It's hard enough to find mild ale or bitter, so I was thrilled to find both styles being brewed here. In addition, there was an Irish Red, English Porter, English Strong Ale, and Oatmeal Stout brewed in house. I had the mild and bitter, and both light ales had enough flavor to keep me drinking without bloating me. To top it off, several guest taps were welcome to the scene (Bells, Unibroue, Yards, Southern Tier, DC Brau).

Crab mac n' cheese....yum. It came in a very generous portion too. Matching the food was the service, which came at a good pace, and plenty of checking up on our statuses.

Well, that was worth the hour drive from northern Virginia, now let's go back. But wait, there's more of Baltimore to see! (1,494 characters)

This place was pretty good, but it made it difficult to enjoy their beers because they were out of 6 of the dozen or so that they offer. Luckily I was able to try the Ironman Pale Ale, which was pretty tasty. Wish I could have tried their Draft Punk IPA though, or the Wheat Ale they offer. (290 characters)

On a business trip and wanted to stop in a cool Gastropub. Great location - right outside of the Convention Center and not far from Camden Yards. Had a real nice selection of craft beers, both local and out of town. To eat, had the crabcake/chicken sandwich. Cool creation and really enjoyed it. Staff was really nice but something did not click. There was a good amount of staff but always felt I needed to wait on everything. Wait for beer order, wait for beer, wait for meal, and wait for check (10-15 minutes after I asked for it). Really were not overly busy to justify. I would go back. (593 characters)

The bar tender was not the level of kindness I anticipate when leaving New York, but I try not to generalize. I don't want to deduct too much for that. I didn't order any food but I did have a couple beers. I had low expectations considering the sporty nature of the decor and the assumption that this place was mostly frequented by tourists after an Orioles game. However, I was pleasantly surprised with the first brew, "Sea of Spears," which was apparently a Red Wheat Ale. It smelt very hoppy and was more reminiscent of an IPA than any wheat beer I had, but it was actually a very good beer. This gave me high expectations for my next choice, an actual IPA, Draft Punk. This was not a good beer t didn't even have a scent. I didn't finish it. This was the kind of brew I've come to expect from run-of-the-mill brew pubs. Didn't feel a need to continue on after that and play the guessing game on what may be good or bad. This was a great choice because we then went to Max's Taphouse, which is my new favorite bar, hands down. If you're main goal is to find quality beer, skip here and go straight to Max's. They have an unbelievable selection. (1,149 characters)
