500ml bottle; poured into an Abbot Ale @ home on 7th Dec 2012, the best before date being rubbed out: assume it's 'out of date'.

Nice looking Mahogany/Ruby Red body, clear, bright and clean: the head a swiftly disappearing off-white wisp.

The nose was like a fruit and nut chocolate bar (UK Cadburys) just unwrapped and opened for the first time: the taste wasn't far off that either, maltier maybe, but all 'Cadburys fruit and nut Cake' for those old enough to remember the adverts!

If the head hadn't gone before it arrived and it had a little more hop bitterness I'd have dined out on Duck Soup until I lost a stone in weight.

Good body depth and rich/flavoursome in my eyes. Really enjoyed this beer: would love to find it in Cask form.

Served from cask dispense at the Sussex Arms, Twickenham Green, Feb'12 into a UK half pint pot.

Pours a clear mid amber colour with just a little white head that doesn't hang around too long forming a small pond in the middle of the glass after a short while!

Smells bready and malty, earthy, almost in a sasion farmyard way, but not as good a smell as a typical saison!

Also slightly earthy tasting, nutty, bready, malt, a little butter popcorn and a slightly metallic taste also present.

Thinninsh to light bodied beer and finishes with a coppery/bitter aftertaste.

An OK offering, but not one I'd be looking out for in the future, do go ahead and try though, it won't hurt you!
