Served blind in a 5 oz taster comparing against KtG, DL, Abyss, B. Albert, Stone IRS, Ky BS and Ten Fidy.
Appearance notable by the very thick body, leaves a light brown coating on the glass as it is swirled.
This beer has a huge roast aroma, like an American stout but without the hops. Big coffee note behind the roasted malt.
This one stands out from the others in the round by the intense coffee flavor. Hard to detect anything else, and that's not in a bad way.
It's got nice, thick body and substantial carbonation, superb mouthfeel.
This beer is really a treat. Can drink it all day, despite the dense body and strong coffee dominance. A real stand-out.
