Peche Mortel, around cellar temperature in a small pint glass.
The beer is an absolute black with a three-finger mocha cloud head that is quite slow to recede.
An aroma of deep, rich coffee and chocolate dominates. Some raisins and vanilla may be underneath. A smoky, leathury scent is there as well... and maybe some maple.
Start to finish, the flavor is full of dark, rich chocolate and coffee. Somewhat bitter and significantly earthy. Some astringent molasses is also in there.
The feel is big, thick, and... imperial.
Being a coffee connoisseur will heighten enjoyment of this brew.
