Picked up a single at Total Wine back in mid-August for $6.99. Bottled in June 2013.
Beer poured black with a nice tan head that is leaving a bit of lacing behind.
Nose is intense with espresso, mocha, roasted barley.
Taste is espresso forward, some vanilla and cocoa, roasted malts. Hopping and roastiness keep the sweetness at bay.
Mouthfeel is lighter than expected - medium bodied but very smooth.
Overall this is a world class brew, espresso is awesome, lots of flavor layers going on and a delightful feel to it. Worth every penny - treat yourself to this if you can find it.
