If this beer was a band it would be Behemoth.
Black with a large, foamy, muddy tan head. Pillowy lace and retention. Looks sinister.
Dark espresso , cocao and fig aroma.
Quite frankly, this beer tastes like sexy, seductive evil. Dark roast espresso dominates with dark fruit, woody hop dark chocolate, and oaky char highlights. Lingering char and coffee aftertaste that lasts until the next sip. Though 9.5% abv I only had this in the cellar for a couple of months and didn't find the alcohol to be intrusive at all.
One of the best beers I've had recently.
