Picked up a bottle of this as I have been wanting to try this for awhile.
Appearance, dark with a tan head, quite inviting.
Smell, good smell here, I expected the coffee to be the dominant aroma. Suprisingly some nice chocolate and toasted malt were also present.
Taste, not as big of a fan of this one, I think the coffee was not to my palete, a bit too sour and acidic.
Mouthfeel, a bit too thin to get a higher mark, not terrible but compared to FBS, not even fair.
Drinkability, with the sour acidic coffee, I am not sure I would want more than one.
Overall, I dont think I will be seeking this one out again. Its a bit pricey, and I that price it really should be better than mediocre.

11.5oz bottle poured into a snifter. 6 and 1 notched on the label of this twist off bottle.
A: Pours a very dark brown appearing pitch black in the glass. A mild khaki tan head sits on top, dissipating in a couple minutes.
S: Initially there is a nice dose of coffee that blends very well with a roasted malt quality. Dark fruit qualities come out more as it warms along with a touch of smokiness.
T: A beer with flavor that builds on you. At first I get a slightly bitter coffee, then a blend of dark fruit comes through. The aftertaste lingers with a great roastiness for a solid 2 minutes after each sip.
M: Very smooth beer. Creamy mouthfeel that slides like velvet over your tongue. Doesn't even seem like an alcoholic beverage. Remarkable.
Overall I am stunned with the complexity yet harmony of this beer. Coffee is just enough to add without overwhelming, hops compliment the coffee and the roastiness just works period.
