Pours a very dark brown with a tan head that build slowly but leaves some nice lacing down the glass, nice carbonation keep the head from going anywhere. Coffee is the first thing to hit the nose, espresso-like, but it quickly gives way to a chocolatey, nougat-like sweetness, lots of bitter dark chocolate in there. Taste is dominated by the coffee, although there is a faint hint of banana in there. Has a nice roasted flavor with a dark chocolate bitterness capped off with a stout coffee aftertaste.
A very tasty brew that gives Breakfast Stout a run for it's money. Time for a side-by-side comparison.
