Pours a deep black with a dense, creamy nut-brown colored head which soon settles to just an annular lacing. Appealing deep roasted espresso nose. Coffee dominates the aroma.
Taste is of rich espresso followed by notes of baker's chocolate, figs, leather, smoke and more espresso! Terrifically rich and dense flavor. Mouthfeel is full, but not cloying. Smooth body is slightly sticky, but soft and delicate at the same time. Coffee flavor lingers for a while, but it's completely welcomed.
An excellent beer.
