This beer just recently became available in Kansas. It was pretty exciting to see it at Lukas Liquors.
A: black and oily with a brown hue, tan head that recedes into a nice lacing
S: the smell kind of explodes from the glass, initially smoky, followed by dark roasted coffee, a bit of some dark fruits in the background
T: loose leaf tobacco, a smokiness that is pretty unique, coffee, dark fruits initially but as the carbonation dies down, the smokiness takes over
M: moderate carbonation provides an initial bite that smooths out, lingering finish that seems to stain the mouth
D: this ought to be available in 750ml bottles, I wish I purchased more, quite complex and unique for the style, I haven't really experienced a combination of smokiness and coffee like this in a beer before
