Poured from bottle into pint glass

Midnight black with a thin tan head.

Aroma is coffee and chocolate. Some fruity undertones as well.

Coffee flavors really come out strong but not overpowering.

So smooth! Some RIS feel thick and heavy, but this one doesn't. Goes down easy until the bottom quarter, then it starts to feel like 9.5%.

Excellent. Flavors are complex and balanced, makes for the great experience.

11.5oz bottle poured into a snifter. 6 and 1 notched on the label of this twist off bottle.

A: Pours a very dark brown appearing pitch black in the glass. A mild khaki tan head sits on top, dissipating in a couple minutes.

S: Initially there is a nice dose of coffee that blends very well with a roasted malt quality. Dark fruit qualities come out more as it warms along with a touch of smokiness.

T: A beer with flavor that builds on you. At first I get a slightly bitter coffee, then a blend of dark fruit comes through. The aftertaste lingers with a great roastiness for a solid 2 minutes after each sip.

M: Very smooth beer. Creamy mouthfeel that slides like velvet over your tongue. Doesn't even seem like an alcoholic beverage. Remarkable.

Overall I am stunned with the complexity yet harmony of this beer. Coffee is just enough to add without overwhelming, hops compliment the coffee and the roastiness just works period.

Serving Type- From a bottle poured into a tulip glass

Appearance- Black motor oil color, cant see anything at all just black as night, no light showing through this beer, thick mocha color head but goes away fast and tons of alcohol legs, pretty much a perfect imperial stout...just EPIC

Smell- Tons of coffee bitterness, roasted malts, dark roasted chocolate, espresso notes, a perfect nose on this imperial stout AMAZING stuff..wow

Taste- Tons of roasted coffee notes and bitterness in the front of the palate, rich dark chocolate cotes the back of the tongue and mouth, you don't really taste the alcohol at all in this beer, mostly a warming sensation in the mouth

Mouthfeel- Normal smooth and thick as an imperial stout should be

Overall- An A+ beer for sure just AMAZING stuff...WOW...one of the best beers I have ever had and easily one of the best Imperial Stouts I have ever had for sure...just epic...If you can get this beer you should...CHEERS

Aroma: Deep, richly roasted, strong coffee (espresso ground) sprinkled with shavings of extravagantly bitter chocolate, and fermented substantially in alcohol. Wonderful.

Appearance: Un-penetrable solemn black, crowned with a minimal half-inch head of tan foam. Delightful.

Taste: Medium sweetness, and only lightly bitter, not as pronounced as expected. Incomparable.

Palate: Medium body, creamy, slick and thick mouthfeel, long flat finish with soft carbonation. Majestic.

Overall: Magnificent.
