Simple and delicate, this straw-coloured ale presents round malt flavours of the biscuity, cereal variety. Complemented by subtle hop bitterness in the finale, it makes for a fresh and accessible offering for seasoned connoisseurs and beginners alike.

Appearance - Pours a slightly hazy gold with 2 fingers head which dies down and leaves a film over the beer.

Aroma - apple, orange peel, honey, buscuity malt, a touch of lemon.

Taste - Honey, apple, orange, bread, peppery taste all the way down the throat. lemon.

Mouth feel - Light body, almost watery, some light prickly carbonation, the pepper taste goes right down the throat making the beer a little harsh. I could see some not enjoying that but it doesnt phase me much.

Overall - This is one of the better blondes I have yet to taste, the flavors compliment each other well. Try it if you can!

Brought back from Montreal and shared with rudzud.

Light fizzy head disappears quickly, mostly clear light pilsner watery color.

Nose is weird, very light sweety blond malts, soggy crackers, mineral notes, maybe a touch sulfur note, weird grassy hop thing, earthy thing, light honey sweetness.

Taste brings sweet Belgian blond malts, honey malt and doughy soggy crackers, light mineral again with vegetal thing and plenty of esters, weird bitter grassy herbal flavor esp lingering on the finish.

Mouth is med bod but little lighter, lighter carb.

Overall pretty poor.

Thanks to JLindros for sharing this beer from Montreal.

A - Poured a Kate the Great tulip a nice crystal clear golden hue with a thin head that fades to leave light wisps.

S - Aromas of crackers, honey, malts, mineral water, really odd and confusing.

T - Taste is mineral vegetative notes, wet crackers, honey. A confusing mess.

M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, faintly sticky.

O - Overall this beer was quite underwhelming, massive letdown and a muddled mess. Ugh.

341 ml bottle from a mixed Dieu Du Ciel case.
Straw blonde coloured beer, with a big puffy white head. Decent retention with chunky lace.
Aroma of malt, almost wheaty, some fruitiness like green apple.
Malty base, cereal grain, slightly sour fruit flavor, finished with a light bitterness.
Light body, crisp refreshing, thirst quenching, some slightly strange aftertaste.
An OK beer, but have had better from this brewery, and better examples of Blonde Ales as well.
