Dieu Du Ciel 'Peche Mortel BA in Bourbon for 12 months' 2013 special reserve @ 9.5% , served from a couple of 341 ml bottles purchased for $4 each

A-pour is brown from the bottle to a near black in the glass with a thin tan head leaving a minimal lace ring along my VBW taster

S-bourbon & coffee

T-extremely smooth tasting with a slight bitter finish

MF-low mild carbonation , big full body , easy sipping beer

Ov-good/great beer , worthy of of it's place in Canadian beer , one of the best

2014 vintage. Labeled as 2013 on the bottle but according to Dieu du Ciel, it's a new batch.
Smell of coffee beans, vanilla, bourbon, wood and toffee.
Taste of intense bourbon, wet wood, coffee and aromas of chocolate milk and small spicy notes from alcohol. Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy. Warm and round. Very complex and well-balanced. The strong aroma of coffee doesn't taste as much as the original version.
Bitterness is long and sweet. Hints of chocolate and bourbon. Very nice beer from DDC, again.
