Had a pint at the brewpub. The server said it was tapped that day, awesome. In the pint glass, it’s a hazy deep gold color with a foamy, pillowy head that recedes pretty quickly. Nice citrusy, lemon drop Goldings hop flavors balance with doughy malt base.

A - poured with one finger of thick, off white foam on a hazy, honey colored body. The head fades slowly and leaves thick rings of lace.

S - floral, perfumey hops with some sweet malt in the background.

T - bready malt up front with a little toffee. Some herbal hop character in the middle that becomes kind of weird and meaty in the finish.

M - medium body, low carbonation and a somewhat dry finish.

D - a bit strange with a strong, but somewhat unpleasant dry hop character. Just doesn't quite work for me.

On tap at the brewpub.

Pours a lightly hazed golden orange, very thick white head forms, slowly drops to a medium ring around the glass, some spots stick, looks good.

Smell is real nice, caramel and biscuit malt, lightly fruity, some apricot and a bit of floral, earthy, nice snappy Goldings aroma, lightly spicy.

Taste is similar, heavy malt up front, caramel, lots of biscuit/toast, a touch of alcohol, lots of floral and earthy hoppiness, a bit of fruit, solid herbal bitterness, very balanced.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation. Very smooth and drinkable, bang on for an English IPA.
