On tap at the Zwanze Day/DDC 15th Anniversary party at DDC. From notes.
A - Poured deep ruby, near black with reddish hues. Half finger of off white head on top left a film of retention and no lace. Minimal carbonation.
S - Dark fruit, raisins, wood, some smoke was subtle, some vanilla and spirit note.
T - Mild smoke, tons of dark fruit, raisins, booze, wood, vanilla, spirits again. Sweet and mildly smokey.
M - Good carbonation, medium to full body, a bit of smoke to finish with dryness.
O/D - Nice stuff. Enjoyed this one. The peet smoked barrel was a nice touch that didn't dominate. Complex, tasty, and nice to sip on with the ABV well masked. The only beer I got 2 glasses of.
Serving type: on-tap
