Opening hours 3pm - 3am. To get there by subway, take the orange line to the Laurier station, take the Laurier street exit, and walk towards the west, you should cross both St-Denis and St-Laurent streets before reaching the pub. Parking in the area can be tricky, lookout for permit zones which can be confusing.

Brasserie Dieu du Ciel…..in Montreal.

Stopped here midway through a Montreal vacation. Hard to find location far from the Laurier subway stop tucked into a corner.
There is a small, wonderful, outdoor deck pavilion with around 12-14 small tables, inside it looks like a small rock bar and arena (a theme in Quebec) with jammed together wooden furniture, chalk boards with the beers and a medium bar in the back right. Vibe was casual outside, more beer-geeky inside.

We did not have any food, it seemed like they had a limited selection of bites, but it was mostly about the beer. Fine by me.

Bartender service was alright, took awhile to get his attention while he carried on a conversation but once I got him he was fast and helpful. Funny observations on using Credit Cards.

We were here around 3:30 before the rush. By 5 this place is packed to the gills. You’ve been warned.

So the beer, the reason you are here. They had eleven selections on tap. I tried a Kolsch, an IPA, a Blonde, and a Vanilla-Cocoa Stout. All were great, but the Cocoa Stout stands out as truly exceptional. The beer is the star here, rightfully so.

Very expensive here, but that's Montreal.
Overall, come early, but well worth your trip.
Cheers.

Fantastic spot! Spent an afternoon on the terrasse out back, enjoying the sun alongside my food and drink. Long list of beers available, emphasis on Quebec but many international as well. Everyone at the table ordered very different meals, and everyone raved that theirs was fantastic. Friendly waitstaff / servers. Trendy, buzzing vibe on a summer afternoon, but not overwhelming or rushed. Worth a detour, especially since the area has several other brewpubs / craft beer bars.

This place is awesome. Didn't try any of the food, but the beer rotates constantly. They had 7 or 8 new offerings in between visits (and those visits were only a day apart). The staff is super friendly and helpful. One of the bar managers offered to add me to the Zwanze Day event list for free even though they were already full (sadly I was leaving the day before the event). They were brewing the second time I went and the brewer took time to meet with me, show me around and answer some questions. It is not well advertised but they do offer flights and that is certainly the way to go. If you are in Montreal and you like beer and you don't go here then you deserve to be kicked in the nethers.
