Opening hours 3pm - 3am. To get there by subway, take the orange line to the Laurier station, take the Laurier street exit, and walk towards the west, you should cross both St-Denis and St-Laurent streets before reaching the pub. Parking in the area can be tricky, lookout for permit zones which can be confusing.

I finally had my chance to visit the Dieu Du Ciel Pub the other day, and it didn't let me down. It isn't anything fancy, just the perfect type of place to do some serious beer drinking. There is a small bar near the back of the place and a room on the right that has the tanks of beers being brewed. There is a large chalk board that lists all of the available beers, and when I was there they had 19 kinds. The prices seemed pretty reasonable, at about 5$ for a pint and it was more expensive for any beer over 7% alcohol (which most were). They also offer small 4oz samples for 3$ or so. I wasn't offered a menu so I'm not sure what the food was like, and you pay for the beers as they arrive at your table - and I never saw a printed bill. The beers and glassware were both fantastic and I'll be back here for sure. (818 characters)

This is a nice place insofar as you get access to a huge swath of DDC's beers on tap. However, it is popular enough and in a popular-enough part of town that it is pretty much always packed in my experience which takes away a little from what it could be like (and I assume was like at one point in time).

The beers are all good. There are a few that are always on, quite a few that rotate and special events as well. The place is not very big with a short bar to sit at and a bunch of tables (including a patio out front). Every time I have been there except one the service has been less-than-stellar as a result of being slammed. I also experienced the single worst customer experience in my life here so the service score tries to reflect that fairly. The place is super popular, shit's gonna happen.

The food is alright. It is a little expensive, but it is not bad. They don't sell bottles here but many places nearby (as well as most craft beer stores) do, so if you are visiting you can still get some bottles to take home. (1,041 characters)

A bit of a language barrier with our server and it was odd that they would not allow our kids to be inside even though we ate and visited many other Canadian brew pubs on our trip. We were there on a Monday at 3pm. (216 characters)

Fantastic spot! Spent an afternoon on the terrasse out back, enjoying the sun alongside my food and drink. Long list of beers available, emphasis on Quebec but many international as well. Everyone at the table ordered very different meals, and everyone raved that theirs was fantastic. Friendly waitstaff / servers. Trendy, buzzing vibe on a summer afternoon, but not overwhelming or rushed. Worth a detour, especially since the area has several other brewpubs / craft beer bars. (479 characters)

Pretty cool, and about how I imagined DDC to be, though maybe smaller than I thought. Basic pub setup with a semi-Euro/Belgian influence. Staff was friendly and helpful. Most importantly, a lot of very good selections on tap, including some stuff that was either brewpub-only, or just stuff I probably wouldn't have ever gotten to try anywhere else. I didn't have time to sample the food. Worth checking out! (408 characters)
