Stopped in here to watch the Kentucky Derby before heading into the Amalie Arena and see a concert. Good size place with outdoor bar area and inside seating. It is a full liquor bar that is British Pub themed. They had a good amount of Florida brews on tap. They even had 3 casked beers on tap. It was packed the day I went in and service was still good.

Used to love coming here but it closed a couple months ago to relocate to a downtown location, which should be opening shortly. In its place on DI is a boxing themed sports bar with a similar beer selection. All the taps remain. Haven't tried the food yet at the new establishment.

I used to go by Yeoman's quite a bit when I lived in Tampa. small bar with tons of beers and great music. Yes it is a hole in the wall style, but thats part of what makes it great. just a bunch of people that like good beer and music. many different options from around the world. (the kenyan beer was terrible) the music was great when I went. sometimes acoustic, sometimes small jam bands, reggae-funk bands, just a good time all around. Can't comment on the food, since that wasn't why I went there. I highly reccomend stopping if you are in the area.

I used to live on Davis Island, so this was a place I would frequent for good beer and music. They have a great selection of beer above your average bar. They also book some great music. The acoustics in the place carry, so its hard to talk when bands are there. My band played once, and you really have to turn everything low. The place is small, so it gets tight when its crowded. Friendly staff that do a fair job. The food is typical bar food, but its a great place to hang out. Davis Island is a little on the upscale side, so things can be a bit pricey especially for typical bar food, but they have great deals on good beer.

A friendly, place with a really good selection of microbrews. They say 100 but that includes some relatively well-known imports like Unibroue, several UK & Belgian brews. 15-20 on tap, mostly craft brews like Dogfish Head & Brooklyn.

A good menu, fish & chips & other standard pub fare though several with a decidely Florida twist. Wings smelled awesome. The rueben was great. Everything served with a bag of chips though fries could be had for $1 more, onion rings for $2 more.

Ambience was not so great, dingy sports bar in the front where there is a tiny spot for a band to set up. Much better in in back half at the bar & booth area. Gotta say, someone needs to work on the men's room. Like finish it and paint over the graffiti.

Service was a little slow @ 1p.m. on a Friday but the place was full & both servers hauling & friendly.
My first two tries off the bottle list (with style, ABV & notes) were unavailable. Maudite on swing #3 and it arrived in the proper goblet. Manager stopped by later to apologize for list problems, stating there were some distributor changes recently and the list did not reflect that.

This is a party spot. It's got a great location on Davis Island and on the weekend this place is a blast with live music and a lively crowd. If you love to party this is your place. It's a bar but it's also got a kitchen and a fairly extensive beer list with several on draft. The staff is over worked so the service isn't fast but they are good people. The beer knowledge is fairly good. The food is OK but not great. If your mainly there to drink and socialize it will get you through the night but don't make a special trip for the Rubin Sandwich. This is another place that adds to the night life of Tampa bay but not a must see for beer drinkers. Go here to Party or enjoy music. Two sandwiches two beers and some fries over $30.

looked up the place here on advocate.. I had the day off and wanted to ride someplace... someplace I could get a good beer rather than the biker bars I usually go to that serve swill like Bud...
got there and was pleased to see that it was a small place with friendly people.. a good selection of beers better than any other I have been to in this area (lakeland is a crap hole :) ) had a dogfish 90 bottle and a harpoon IPA draft $4.50 for the draft, a little pricey but hey, around here there just arent places to go to have a good beer... liked the "hole in the wall" about the place.. dont know where anyone gets that it is a dive, guess y'all havent been to many biker bars LMAO....

liked the place and will go again

Most of the previous reviews tell the story. This place is a little dive with a great selection and reasonable prices. This is truly the type of place you and the guys would come if it were in your neighborhood just to hang out. Nothing fancy but the extensive selection of bottles and a good line of taps.

We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and were the only people there for some time until another group came in and the place woke up. The server was friendly and attentive, and was happy to hang out and talk about beers.

Probably the only place on Davis Island worth visiting.

What a nice selection of beer they have on tap(20 unique and different brews)! I had a hazed and infused, a mojo ipa, and a delirium tremens on tap. All were in good condition and tasted great. My wife had the Dunedin Brewing Special Apricot peach wheat ale (bottle) which she really enjoyed.
We split an order of chili cheese fries and wings. Both were quite tasty.
They had an acoustic duet playing who were pretty good.

The only negative is that this place is a FREAKIN DIVE from an atmosphere perspective. Think of your favorite dive college bar but with an excellent beer selection and you will hit the nail on the head.

While in Tampa for a few weeks, hitting Yeoman's Road Pub was at the top of my "to do" list. Thanks to fellow BA Jredner for the guided tour! Yeoman's is located on a manmade island with one road in and one road out. Thankfully, it's located on the main strip. Parking can be tight, but we got a spot out front. With a few red sun umbrellas out front and a glass facade revealing a sound system and a drum kit, this place has relaxed beach ambiance written all over it. The back holds the dineresque booths and a small 10 seater bar with well worn hodge-podge stools that could invariably tell some stories. The little scrod's bathroom is a trip. Skater stickers all over.

Yeoman's Road ambiance is a comfy funky psuedo-Nawlins meets corner bar vibe that defies convention to its own boon. This is my kind of beer bar that welcomes all kinds while being relaxed and stylish.

Beers were equally ecclectic as the atmosphere: Taps offered were Delirium Tremens, Sea Dog Blueberry Wheat, Orlando Orange Blossom Pilsner, Shipyard Brewer's Choice, New Castle, Blue Moon, Stella, (bill paying) Bud Lite, DFH 60 minute, Boulder Hazed & Infused, Rogue Dead Guy, Yuengling, Chimay Red, and Guinness. I'm giving selection the 4.5 bump up for the effort of bottles and igloo coolers housing extra taps to meet demand.

Bottle selection is varied with Samuel Smith, Allagash, Rogue, Konings Hoven, Aventinus Eisbock and about 15 others.

Grubbage du jour was the Philly Cheese Steak - the hottest one! which was served with a bag of Lays.

**Suggestion: Loose the plastic basket and bag 'o chips. Too gauche! Make the stretch and use a cheap plate with a pickle or scoop of slaw.*

Could you take your Mother here? Yes during the relaxed days but I hear that Yeoman's Road can lead you to a racous time some nights.

Last call: A comgy old shoe vibe with killer beer selection. Thanks to Jredner for the suggestion. Worth seeking and finding if in town.

I visited Yeoman's while on vacation in Tampa over the 2005 winter holiday season. I was really pleased to find that a place like Yeoman's exists in Tampa as I will most certainly be making it a regular stop when I come to visit.

I gave the atmosphere a 3.5 simply because it was open mic night, the acoustic performers who played were actually quite loud, which made it rather difficult to enjoy conversations with friends whom I haven't seen in a while.

I chatted it up with the bartender a bit, and unfortunately, his name escapes me. I mentioned that I was from San Diego and I walked into the pub sporting a Stone Brewing t-shirt... and left with a different shirt, the guy begged me to trade shirts with him! What a riot. I abliged and walked out wearing a lost coast 8 ball stout shirt and a couple of bottles, but the fact that I made the guy's day was worth it. We west coasters don't even realize how good we have it.

Selection was quite good, I went up to the bar with my buddies and grabbed some glassware and several bottles including, Hennepin, 3 Philosophers, Rogue Festive Ale, Great Divide Hercules Double IPA, and many others could have been had from Dogfish, to Sam Smith, to Ommegang, Delirium, etc. There were about 12 taps going, wide range from 60 min IPA to Lindemans Frambozen.

I thought the prices were a bit on the higher end, but given the fact that I could find such a place in Tampa made it all worth it. I strongly recommend Yeoman's if you are a local or visitor to the Tampa Bay area.
