Revolution is a trendy bar in an area of Waterford where there is a particular concentration of pubs, restaurants, take away, etc. The interior is a far cry far the cozy, worn Irish pub atmosphere found in many surrounding places. In contrast it's a very modern, sleek, trendy look with lots of mirrors, polished steel, tile floors and halogen lighting. While the beer selection here would pale in comparison to many other beer bars elsewhere, it's a welcome oasis in a sea of pubs with mediocre macros. The selection included the all the Carlow Brewing beers, O'Hara's Stout, Molings Red and Curim Celtic Wheat. This was the only place I found here that carried them even though the brewery's only about 70 km away. In fact, no one I spoke to had even heard of the Carlow brewery. Along with those were several better imports like Paulaner, Schneider Weisse, Okacim, Hacker Pschorr, Pilsner Urquel, Staropramen among other similar brews. Certainly under normal circumstances nothing to get excited about unless you've been drinking nothing but nitro poured Guinness, Murphy's, Kilkenny, etc. One drawback is that they have no late night license which means they close early (around 11:00pm). I still recommend Revolution since it by far had the best beer selection I found in Waterford.
