Looks about like every other BCBS variation i've had, save that this one has a slight red tinge around the edges as you look at it in the glass. Otherwise, pitch black and very thick looking.
Smell is chocolate, berries, bourbon, all very well mended in with one another. Very strong, pleasant smell.
Taste is in line with the smell. No real harshness to the finish and the bourbon is a bit more subtle than it is regular BCBS. No real alcohol heat to speak of. A bit of acidic tartness lingers from the berries. The fruit elements are really well integrated here and the taste, as a whole, is fantastic.
Mouthfeel is full, creamy, and super smooth. About the perfect mouthfeel for this kind of a flavor profile. Ranks up with FIS and Huna for my favorite mouthfeel in an imperial stout.
Overall this is one of my favorite BCBS variants and one of the most enjoyable beers i've ever had. Ultimately kind of a slightly better version of last year's Cherry Rye. Now if only it weren't so expensive and hard to get a hold of.

Beer # 1000!!
On tap for $6 for a 6 oz. pour. My lucky day
A: Pours a pitch black color with a minimal tan head. Leaves some sticky film on the way down the glass
S: Quite a bit of jammy and fruity notes up front with the classic BCBS tones underneath. Alcohol hidden very well behind the dark roasted malts and chocolate syrup-like sweetness
T: Follows the nose. The jammy notes come out leading the charge, quickly followed by the mellow and subdued BCBS notes. Very nice rye barrel character, and again, the alcohol is hidden very well
M: Full bodied with low carbonation. Slightly syrup-like but not over the top
O: The berries and rye barrel add a nice new dimension to the already well-dimensioned BCBS. Far too easy to drink given the abv and relative viscosity of the brew, but it does make a nice sipper. Definitely drinking very well right now, for those of you holding onto bottles. Glad that I very luckily stumbled onto this one on-tap when I did
