22oz brown bomber with a freshness date.

Pours thick like the original and the other variations. Toasted coconut on top of boozy molasses, spicy rye fusels, charred wood and alcohol soaked raisins makes for a lovely nose. Syrupy thick body, big kiss of toasted coconut in the middle with dark sugar sweetness throughout. Just enough barrel action with hints of tannin, boozy rye and barrel char.

A massive brew no doubt, love this variation just as much as the rest and love that they are still pushing the limits even with just some flavoring. Worth the hunt ...

Pours black-brown color with a dark brown thin lacing head that dissipates rather quickly. Coconut flakes are visible floating around. I knew I was in for an interesting treat! Light notes of coconut were definitely detected in the nose along with rye, earthy wood, dark chocolate and sweet bourbon. The base beer, Bourbon County Brand Stout, was immediately recognized as it was first sipped. Notes of rye, wheat, coconut, bourbon, oak, chocolate, dried fruit, and vanilla are all part of the flavor complexities. Medium to full bodied along with mild carbonation throughout. Sticky mouthfeel. Beautifully made beer fitting enough to pay proper tribute to the loyal and rabid Goose Island Bourbon County fans! Too bad this is such a rare and extremely difficult beer to land for the faithful out of Chicago to try.

Bottle poured into snifter

A- flecks of coconut lay atop the pour. Looks just like the original with the addition of the oil floating in top from the coconut.

S- SWEET! The bourbon is there but it's tamed by the coconut. Such a beautiful pairing. Don't understand how some are missing this. The bourbon is so much more refined with this addition. It smells incredibly inviting. If you aren't a whiskey lover you can't say the same about BCBS. Anyone would say this scent is sweet and rich.

T- Coconut right away. Smooth and refined, yet exploding with flavor, covering the entire mouth. Bourbon, molasses, coconut, milk chocolate. Can't really imagine a better combination of flavors working together.

M- Syrupy, viscous, thick as hell. Perfect for the style.

O- Anyone saying they didn't get the coconut missed out. Seems we have lots of folks out there having troubles with this lately. This beer uses coconut perfectly. BCBS is perfect to begin with and this somehow improved it. G.I. putting on a master class. Thank you!
