12oz bottle, date of 8/23/2012, poured into Huna snifter.
Right from the pour a ton of fizz but no cap or head. No fluffy, brownie or nice head to sink your nose into. Opaque, black elixir. A bit disappointing. There are some legs down the glass, but of course not much lacing for this ABV.
Subtle bourbon, malt, licorice, vanilla.
Alcohol burn, charred malt, bourbon and sweet vanilla/caramel. Nice.
Over carbonated, spicy, alcohol, slick.
This one needs some time. Much prefer KBS and PEGS DOS. Have had 2010-11 BCBS and know this will age well.

July 2014. On Tap at Rattle n Hum. Better than a extra Birthday that doesn't shorten your life span. As a matter of fact this adds so much pleasure to the day, it's like doubling down on this particular 24 hours. At 15%...Hey, WTF...I'm on board.
02/21/12 From bottle. Rattle n Hum, NYC. If this was the only brew in the world I would not be unhappy. Been drinking it, whenever possible, for years & even with the switch to Budweiser It's still a superb brew.
