2012 Vintage poured into snifter.
Pours a very very dark brown. Thick as hell. Looks like dirty motor oil. Very minimal head but not much expected at 15%
Smell is bourbon and sweet malts. Some dark fruits and hints of bitter coffee. Some vanilla and oak come through as well. A definite char.
Taste is magnificent. Syrupy sweetness with a bit of milk chocolate. Vanilla. Oak. Huge malts and bourbon flavors. Ugh. Just phenomenal. Char and deep burnt caramel. It just goes on and on. Molasses and more.
Mouthfeel is massive. Just the right amount of carbonation. Huge and chewy. Almost like syrup.
This beer is near perfect for me. You've heard of it. Get it.
