The full vertical thanks to ygtbsm94! Thanks Brad! 2003, 2005 (2004 was not bottled), 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009.
2003: rich barleywine notes, thick toffee, raisins
2005: very sweet, oxidized notes, still hot and boozy somehow
2006: thin bodied, lots of vanilla, raisins, dark fruits
2007: sherry, peaty, light-bodied comparatively, pretty spicy
2008: hot, lots of dark chocolate, spicy
2009: boozy, raisins, tobacco very sweet.
Overall this beer always pours the same- relatively flat with no retention and lace. And more often than not this impy is so hot! I mean really insane and a little over the top. Not my style. We took the best batches (03, 06, 07) and blended them to create something that was truly outstanding. Unfortunately, this is a very special occurrence and few will be able to try that blend unless they release BCS Grand Cru at some point.
22oz 2009 aged for a little bit. Holy $&@$ this is unf***ing real. Still pours an inky black with a small temporary head and no lace. Little boozy almost vodka aroma, that eventually moves to bourbon and coconut. Huge maple syrup in the body, lots of toasted coconut, perfectly balance between sweet caramel and coconut with spicy bitterness. Unreal slick, oily, perfect soft palate. No booziness, no warming alcohol. Has more maple than Canadian Breakfast Stout. Really one of the best beers I’ve ever had. Unbelievable. 8/17/2010 8/4/9/5/17=4.3
355mL 2008 ed. Consumed with 3+ years of age. Pours with a thick, red head unlike other BCS batches. Small lace. Nose is spectacular: superlative chocolate ganache, walnuts, amaretto, butter pecan, loads of cinnamon, fatty flank steak, banana bread, savory mild soy sauce. Taste is wildly rich and silky with the superlative imperial stout palate: ultra silk, butter reduction, thick and full. In the body, hot chili peppers linger in the finish with mild warming alcohol like a good bourbon or Scotch. Tastes like someone took a really good imperial stout and put it in a red wine reduction to up the intensity and body. Feels like this was made without strike water...as if Bells Expedition was a watered down version of this. Insanely good. 7/11/2011 9/4/9/5/18=4.5

Pours thick like molasses and solid black in color. Head is thin tan and retains nicely.
Smell is incredible, some dark red fruity notes are forward before a nice bourbon and oak aroma cut through the fruity esters. Rich toffee malt with subtle aromas of toasted marshmallow and more fruity esters finish.
Taste follows the nose and is just as good. Dark fruity lightly sweet flavors are forward along with a light bourbon presence and a dry oak flavor. Rich toffee malt finishs along with some light toasted marshmallow flavors in the finish.
Mouthfeel is great. Thick body and mild carbonation keep this a perfect sipping beer. Hits all points, sweet sticky dry lightly bitter, anything you could ask for from a great stout
