Many thanks to TheLibrarianGirl's buddy, Laurie, for bringing this brew back from a road trip to Chicago. Bottled on: 05/16/11.
Appearance: Pours a hazed, pale straw-colored body with an airy, white head that collapses at a moderate pace.
Smell: Light malty notes, a light kiss of sweet lemon, and a faint, faint hint of underlying graininess.
Taste: Begins with a gentle maltiness of delicately malted barley and wheat. Lightly sweet with a hint of honey water. A noted fruity, faintly tart citrusy hop presence. Low bitterness. Small shred of yeastiness. Drying on the lively, wheat-flavored finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation. Fairly soft mouthfeel.
Overall: It's an APWA alright, though thankfully not as cheerless and lifeless as some, and, after going out rowing for the afternoon, it really provides for some substantial refreshment.
