Poured from 12oz bottle.
A- Pours a pale pale yellow. Half finger white head shows medium retention. Streaky lacing on the sides of the glass. This really doesn't look like a wheat beer to me at all.
S- Toasted malts with a bready caramel malt base. Some light citrus hops in the ending. Nothing really else. There is a light wheat tone through some of the beer but not all of it. Such a weird beer for the style.
T- Light lemon like hops flavor in the front of the beer. Toasted wheat flavors in the middle of the beer show a nice taste for a while. Ending of the beer is mostly sweet malts with some light hop bitterness. Simple yet effective taste wise.
M- Light mouthfeel. Carbonation is good for the beer. Lemony flavors with light wheat notes left on the palate. Aftetaste is wheat, light alcohol, and light faded bitter hops. Clean and crisp making it well balanced for what it was going for. No off flavors at all which seems to be Goose Island's good QC team. Light alcohol drying on the palate.
D- This beer has an amazing low ABV which makes it drink rather great. Not my favorite of wheats but it is far from the worst as well. A nice stepping stone beer for people looking to get into craft beer.

Tried this on tap at Turner Field. If I am going to spend $$ for beer, hats off to Turner Field for at least bringing some craft beers along.
Poured a nice one finger head, which held up well on a humid night, in a plastic tumbler. good creamy head, can't wait to see this in a real weissen glass.
Good clean wheat aroma, not the easiest place to try and develop a smell, but it was definitely fresh,
I thought the taste was a good American wheat beer, not as floral, and citrus as the German brews, which I think is a good idea, let the American flavor stand alone. I can always get the true German imports, but I give great thumbs up when the American Craft brews do this type decent.
Mouthfeel was refreshing, but actually had some chew, I liked it very much, and if I was in a regular bar, would have ordered this one for a second go.
Overall, my first Goose Island, and I was very pleased. I will look for it in bottles now, especially when I need to get a decent American Wheat that isn't from a Macro brewery. Give this one a try.
