If you like a "Sweet Tart" tasting summer ale... well, this is for you. You can have the other five bottles of the six I bought.
Pours a bright hazy yellow, with plenty of fizz and foam. If you had to take pictures of a summer ale, this might be the model of choice.
The nose is of bright, zesty citrus. OK, if it's hot outside I suppose this could be inviting.
The taste is tart, sweet with a hoppy edge. If it's 102 degrees in the shade and 80% humidity I might drink this beer... but then I would drink Bud Light under those conditions. This is not a recommendation.
I don't know what Goose Island was thinking here, but a lot of Budweiser is sold. There is no accounting for taste.

Poured from a 22oz bottle into a Weizen glass.
A: Light hazy straw. Plenty of active carbonation some sticking to the glass and some rising in pillars. Nice frothy white two finger head. A little lacing - small spots. Good head retention.
S: Wheat of course. Quite fresh like cut straw. A hint of lemon. Very subtle nose in general.
T: Nice and clean as you would expect but I felt like the wheat taste was lacking. It should be light to drink on a warm summer day but at times it was watery. For me, the finish and aftertaste were the most lacking. The hop is very subtle and it is missing that nice thirst quenching wheat ending that brings you back for more. There is a touch of lemon and maybe a hint of coriander or some sweet spice but all in all, it's too weak.
M: Light body which is made to feel lighter because of the watery taste. Plenty of active carbonation as expected.
D: I like a Wheat beer once in a while but this would not be a go-to.

The Chicago skyline appears on the label and the name of the beer really make this American wheat feel like a regional offering. I like it.
The appearance was appropriate for the style, bright golden yellow color, with a solid white head and just a hint of cloudiness from the yeast. I swirled the last bit and dumped the sediment into the glass to get the full effect. It left a nice lace on the weizen glass.
The aroma was very pleasant, but the taste is where this beer shines. Bold lemon flavors abound. No trace of banana esters to me. Just a faint hint of hops.
This beer is very tasty and extremely drinkable. I will definitely pick up more of this during the summer.

Cloudy, bright pale yellow pour with a nice bubbly white head on top. Nice rising carbonation in my tall glass. Good sweet grainy nose along with hints of lemon and orange. Just a hint of spiciness as well. Not too bad.
A clean, crisp wheat grain maltiness along with some citric flavors of lemon, orange and even some ripe melon. A slight hop bitterness follows down the back of the palate along with a hint of spice. A nice example of a normally uninspiring style.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a nice wave of small bubbly carbonation that fills the mouth. Refreshing and easy to drink...this would make a great summer session brew. I could see myself having quite a few of these on a sunny day working in the yard. Definetly worth a try.
