Not a big fan of spiced beer but this isn't too shabby. Pours a dark brown with a medium head. Smells of spices. Tastes like them too with some caramel malty sweetness. A little bitterness as well from the hops.

The Goose Island Experimental Winter Ale is decent. Have a nice spice to it and finishes dry. It poured a nice clear rich amber with thin head that is not lacing. The scent has an interesting spice to it. The mouthfeel is medium in body with good carbonation. Not bad.

Aroma is cinnamon/nutmeg/spices ,malts and mild sweetness. The flavor is spices, caramel malts, mild sour notes and a mix of warming and slight bitterness/hops in the finish.

Picked up a mixed 12 pack in early January for $15. Bottled on 10-21-15.
Beer poured a reddish brown with a nice whit head.
Nose is malty with hints of dark fruits.
Taste is nicely balanced. Dark fruits and hops meld nicely with a malty base.
Feel is medium bodied and smooth.
Overall this is a nice beer. Reminds me of Deschutes Jubelale with the malty-fruity-hoppy thing!

On-tap 2/19/2016 at Doherty’s Ale House in Warwick, RI, served in a tapered pint glass.
A: The beer is a deep coppery red color, with a short off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains caramelized malts, spices, some fruit and some hops.
T: The taste starts out bready with a hearty malt character. Then some mildly sweet flavors of spice, caramel and fruit come in. the hops presence is strong for the style and brings some balance. The after-taste is slightly bready and slightly hoppy.
M: Crisp and a little smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is dry and slightly sticky.
O: A little tasty, goes down ok, slightly filling, decent kick, decent hoppy representation of style, it’s a solid beer to drink for a while.

Thought it was better than their standard winter offering, but again, Goose Island has gone the way of Blue Moon - nothing interesting or exciting here.
