This beer has a somewhat hazy and golden amber appearance. It has a slightly hoppy scent. The taste is pretty good. A definite hop bite, but it doesn't over do it. Its also has a nice citrus hint. This beer isn't highly carbonated. The combination of these makes the beer very refreshing. I'm glad I was able to bring a few back to TX.

12 oz. bottle, with bottled on date November 21, 2013 printed on the bottleneck. I was surprised to discover that I hadn't yet reviewed this offering from Goose Island, so I figured now was the time. Acquired as part of a Goose Island variety pack.
Poured into a clear balloon snifter.
A - Pours a nice coppery amber orange colored body, with some nice clarity and some fine flecks of light sediment floating about. Three big fluffy fingers of white head that leaves behind excellent thin rings of lacing. Looks very nice.
S - Smell is comprised of some soapy, piney, grapefruit, orange hop presence, with lots of pale bready malts to balance things out. Lightly floral / vegetal. Definitely a malt bomb.
T - Taste follows the nose - citrusy grapefruit / orange / pine hoppiness, and lots of bready malt. Imbalanced in the way of the malt, for sure. Lightly herbal / floral / dry. Average in flavor.
M - Goes down smooth, crisp, and clean. Feel is sticky, lightly resinous, bitter, bready, and dry. Residual hops and bready malt. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Easy drinking.
Overall, an enjoyable offering from Goose Island, but it is average at best when compared to the ever expanding selection of IPA's nowadays. Not the greatest, but highly drinkable with moderate 5.90% abv. I could definitely see it pairing well with a meal, and I would have it again.
