A: Pours clear and golden with hints of copper. Not much head on the pour and what little is there dissipates quickly into a film of bubbles. There's a small amount of lacing around the glass as you drink. Carbonation levels look to be on the weaker side, which will hopefully lend to the drinkability of this brew.
S: Smells of honey and sweet malts with a high note of citrus rinds and pine resin. Pleasant and inviting, overall, but also a bit sour and slightly metallic.
T: Sweet malts lend way to a citrus hop middle with notes of grapefruit, peach and apricot. Finishes pretty balanced with lingering notes of citrusy hops.
M: Pretty light bodied for an IPA with lower carbonation and very little chewiness. Very crisp and drinkable for the style.
O: A balanced and sessionable IPA without much flavor or complexity. I imagine this brew would have been looked upon differently before the hop-bomb invasion. Alas, now it will probably serve as a good introduction to the style without insulting those who prefer something a bit more assaulting.
