A: Deep copper to light brown in color with about an inch and a half of frothy off white head. Seems to be thousands of tiny particles suspended in the beer. Leaves sporadic lace.
S: malts ranging from caramel to grain to biscuit with a very noticeable rye character. Also, a fair amount of spicy hops for balance and some phenols.
T&M: Light to medium body with a somewhat watery texture. Flavor is grainy malts an rye with some peppery spiciness added in.
D: I am a big fan of some of the beers made by Goose Island. This however, is not one of them. It is o.k. but there are certainly better options available. I thought the smell was the best aspect. I probably wouldn't seek this one out.
