A-Pours a dark orange with some pink. Lots of carbonation at the beginning, but settles pretty quickly. Almost no head to speak of.

S-Definite sourness and fruit will hit you right up front, but the wine and wild yeast becomes apparent later on to round it out. Very complex with the right amount of funk.

T-Tart berries and slight brett flavors. Very similiar to the way it smells. The blackberries weren't apparent right off the bat, but I did catch some green apple. All around crisp.

M-Fairly carbonated, but great mouthfeel. The wine barrels seem to give it a bit of a dryness, but in a good way.

O-Overall, a great sour. The tartness was balanced with the dry, crispness of the wine and wild yeast, even if can be a bit overwhelming in the long run. It's worth a try if you're willing to shell out the money and I'm looking forward to trying their other sours.

2012 edition that's been waiting to be let out. Lots of funk upfront; acidic, piercing. Funky, barnyard, TART - well rounded and really comes together as it warms a little. Good prickly carbonation dances around. As advertised, a great sour/wild that I would recommend to anyone interested in a representation of what the style should be.

poured 750ml into teku.

A - Delicate, clear, light ruby with a fizzy 2 finger head. Head vaporizes very quickly, which is normal for the style. No collar or lacing.

S- Sour blackberries, cherries, and green plum. Some stonefruit and oak with hints of wine. Funk is mild.

T - Plent of berry notes - cherry, raspberry, blackberry - and some green plum. Good amount of sour, oak and lightly funky. Don't get much red wine, but there are faint notes.

M - Perfect for a sour style as far as I am concerned. Highly carbonated, crisp, clean, refreshing, nicely sour.

O - While very good, I had to compare this to New Glarus Very Sour Blackberry. It held it's own and was tasty.
