22oz bottle split with russwbeck and poured into a Goose Island wine glass.

A - The appearance is nearly identical to Lolita, with that same bold, vibrant sunburst like the last few minutes of twilight. Similar to the other two Sisters, very little head formation, but this one actually leaves a relatively thick cap after it dissipates. Lacing as well is fairly low with only a few scattered clumps of foam.

S - Juliet returns to the tartness that Lolita had, but with a little more funk to it and a bit more fruit. As with what seems to be the theme with this series, the barrel is definitely noticeable and the oak is strong with this one. There's more fruit than the other ones.

T - The darker fruit of the blackberry is more distinct than in the others and is actually the single one where it seems to lead the taste. Then the oak comes through, giving it a bold, almost nutty woodiness. The tartness is more funky than sour, which complements the fruitiness. The alcohol is almost completely absent, too, which helps give it the edge over Lolita.

M - Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with perhaps a touch more carbonation than Lolita and Madame Rose. It's still pretty similar though, but a little more prickly.

D/O - Drinkability is moderately high. Of the Three Sisters, this one is probably the best one since the fruit makes up a bigger component of the taste. Lolita is a close second, and then Madame Rose rounding out the trio. She must be the grenade.

2012 edition that's been waiting to be let out. Lots of funk upfront; acidic, piercing. Funky, barnyard, TART - well rounded and really comes together as it warms a little. Good prickly carbonation dances around. As advertised, a great sour/wild that I would recommend to anyone interested in a representation of what the style should be.

poured 750ml into teku.

A - Delicate, clear, light ruby with a fizzy 2 finger head. Head vaporizes very quickly, which is normal for the style. No collar or lacing.

S- Sour blackberries, cherries, and green plum. Some stonefruit and oak with hints of wine. Funk is mild.

T - Plent of berry notes - cherry, raspberry, blackberry - and some green plum. Good amount of sour, oak and lightly funky. Don't get much red wine, but there are faint notes.

M - Perfect for a sour style as far as I am concerned. Highly carbonated, crisp, clean, refreshing, nicely sour.

O - While very good, I had to compare this to New Glarus Very Sour Blackberry. It held it's own and was tasty.
