Goose Island, Chicago
---from tap to pint glass---
Foggy honey color with a very thin white head and excellent lacing.
Faint citrus flavor with hint of earth and grass.
The week smell lends nothing to this bland beer. Semi sweet malts give way to stock hoppy taste. Not bad at all, but nothing substantial to say...
Goes down smooth with very light carbonation. Week flavor leaves nothing behind.
For a pale ale, this left much to be desired. Not a bad beer by any means; but definitely not one I would search high and low to find locally. A pale ale for light beer drinkers...

A- Came to me a brilliant and slightly hazy gold in color. Good touches of orange and copper in the color of the body with a good, thick head of about 2 fingers that retained all day. Lacing was also very good for the plastic cup it came in.
S- Hoppy and citrusy right up front, but not overly so. Good notes of both pine and citrus, but a somewhat orange-like scent was most noticeable. Nothing over the top as far as bitterness and hop character, but enough to satidfy my hop craving of the moment.
T- Starts off with a mild and citrusy hop punch that quickly introduces a malt backbone. Balance is struck with a mild hop presence throughout the entire drink and the malt just lying low providing enough sweetness to let the hops roll.
M- Light to medium weight across the palate with good carbonation and great drinkability. This is a sessionable pale.
Overall, this beer is solid and deserves respect. Frankly, this should have been introduced nationally instead of 312 Urban Pale.
