A Witbier brewed with Brett, two samples at the Clybourn Brewpub
A - Clear, golden yellow body...carbonation bubbles are present but they don't produce a nice head as the head is gone in seconds and never comes back...no lacing left
S - The aroma is funky Brett with some yeast coming through...there is a hint of spice but the Brett is taking charge
T - Flavors fall in line with the nose...the Brett is in full charge making the flavors funky...they come across as almost Saison-esque...that horse blanket/farm house flavor is there...there is an underlying spice factor but nothing too powerful...no citrus notes of lemon or orange peel
M - Light bodied...this at least fits the style albeit a little too light...maybe a touch watered down
O - I was able to sample this twice because my dad did not like it, so I finished his just to get a better grasp of the beer...needless to say I didn't order a pint...I didn't get any of the Witbier flavors...could have used a nice addition of some citrus peel...the Brett was strong...as I said it almost came across as a Saison more or less

I ordered this at the Clybourn Goose Island brewpub. Description is: Belgian Style Witbier brewed w/ brettanomyces, Straw color, jasmine and clove aroma, sweet lychee flavor, light body.
Appearance was clear golden yellow with virtually no head. As this was listed as a whitbeer I was exciting to try from Goose Island. However, I smelled virtually nothing from this beer. Although it lists cloves and lychee as flavors, none of those came out in the smell or taste. The beer felt completely watered down, no taste...much like a macro. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come from Goose Island. I painfully finished this beer so I could try a different, and better, brew.
Please skip this one, this really isn't a good drink. I wasn't impressed with anything about this.
