Served in a snifter at GI Clybourn 11/29/11. Thanks to HeatherAnn and pops for the assist!
A: Served a deep, dark black with a head that resembled a nilla wafer in size, color, and thickness. Retention was good but no lace was left behind.
S: Strong nose of vanilla, toasted oats, bourbon, and dark chocolate. Excellent.
T: Just as above with some hints of cocoa powder and caramel after it warms up.
M: Silky smooth with just the right level of carbonation.
O: Another one of GI's lower abv Barrel Aged beers and this one is a total winner. Really great.

Had this beer on tap at GI Clybourn. Aged in Elijah Craig 18yr -bals. Black beer with an almost nonexistent head. Leaves an occasional spot of lacing, but not much. Aroma is very vanila heavy with some roast and toasted oak. Taste is similar. Mildly sweet with a bit of caramel, much vanilla, roast, oak, and coco. There is a medium mouthfeel with good carb. Damn good bal beer by GI. They are one of the best breweries I have ever come across when it comes to barrel aging beer.
