On-tap at the Clybourn location.
A: Poured a clear, dark orange, with a nice, healthy slightly off-white head that stuck around for a bit.
S: It had sort of an orange "Creamsicle" flair about it concerning the nose. Very low in piney hops, but very high in fructose sugar.
T: Same as the nose, although I'm here to report that this wasn't the "Fruit Cocktail" syrup bomb that I was fearing. Lots of orange and some peach, but mainly this was the sludge found on the bottom of a can of fruit cocktail, minus the fruit.
M: The mouthfeel was actually nice: bubbly and creamy for sure, with lots of lacing and little to no booze detected.
O: This was merely a passing entry for me, but if you're a fruit lover, it might be worth a look.

On tap at Goose Island Clybourn. Served in a sampler glass. Pours golden with a white head. A bit of lacing on the way down. Thin collar throughout. Nose carries some earth, pine, and citrus hops. Flavor has some citrus rind and a bit of malt in the background. Medium body with good carbonation and moderate bitterness. My favorite of the hoppy ales on at the time.

glassware: la fin du Monde tulip...occasion: Labor Day relaxation...appearance: chunky, uneven white head settles over a soft orange body that clouds slightly--excellent lacing...aroma: citric strength with a peachlike overtone--pleasant and fragrant...palate: full-bodied, throaty IPA that holds its aftertaste long after the first taste...taste: strong, hop-driven crispness; within the genre, a "plus" in flavor...overall: a surprise six-pack in a summer case was a pleasant one; the IPA challenges by assaulting the teeth and throat equally; not an especially smooth beer, but good...
