Pours a very dark black from the big bottle acquired at GI Clybourn. Nose is really muted, with just a hint of some bitter chocolate. The taste is really not much different...a bit of dark chocolate, but not much else. Maybe I should've drank this one sooner - I thought it was a lot better in Oct. 2015 when I had it at the brewpub, but maybe it was just different circumstances.

Tan head. Dark brown color.
Chocolate and caramel. Oak and bourbon. Bigger than your normal Porter. Roasted malts.
Fairly smooth and warming. Not super thick.
Solid Porter!

750 mL bottle. Black. Intense bourbon aroma. Lots of sugars. Fudgy. Tastes incredibly sweet. Lots of chocolate. And then bourbon throughout into the finish. Heavy and boozy. Very tasty, but heavy and exceedingly sweet.
