I went there this past weekend and was blown away. The GI pub in Clybourn is a few blocks from an train station and convenient to get to. Atmosphere-wise, there's the bar area with plenty of stools and a few booths and a larger dining area. Your average brewpub.

Where this place ceases to be average is the beer and food. The recently expanded tap selection now has 18 beers and one cask (when I was there), including one guest tap. They had a ton of their regulars as well as more recent exclusives - Midway IPA, Extremely Naughty Goose, Imperial Coffee Stout, Night Stalker... the list is awesome. Oh, and the guest tap? The Flossmoor Killer Kapowski Baltic Porter.

Service is attentive and helpful, our waiter stopped to answer questions. The food was, for a change, inspired. They have a new chef and he had some items on there that I didn't imagine possible - fried Raviolli? Wow! And the Stilton burger I had was nothing short of exceptional.

Price-wise, the place is decent. The Night Stalker was $10/12oz and the Killer Kapowski was $8/12oz but worth every penny. Food was reasonable, the burgers were $12. All told, I can't wait to go back!

Not a bad brewpub, a great space that looks brand new with quite a few taps. The brewery tour on the other hand is very underwhelming. Unless you have very little knowledge of beer skip the tour. It's comprised of standing around and listening to one of the (brewpub)brew masters explain the brewing process.

Highlights included being able to see a few casks aging in the brewing room, having a few samples after the tour and getting a pint glass included in the price of admission. For value this cannot be beat.

The brewpub offers a lot of beer that is created on-site and a new beer is available weekly. The swag selection is very good. Lots of t-shirts, glasses and even a Chicago/Goose Island flag.
