Stopped in on a recent trip to Chicago on a Sunday afternoon around 1:00. I was worried about having a long wait since it was the weekend after Thanksgiving and everything in Chicago was packed but it wasn't really crowded at all.

There was a nice selection of draught and bottled GI beers from lighter refreshing stuff like 312 to Imperial Brown Goose and BCS. The heavy stuff didn't sound too good for lunch so I stuck with some of the easier drinking beers. I almost ordered a snifter of Imperial Brown Goose after our meal but decided against it as I still had a full day ahead of me. The cask-conditioned extra pale ale was especially interesting. The beer prices were pretty reasonable and the service was very friendly and helpful.

The food was a little hit or miss, and definitely pricey. $10 nachos came with nacho cheese sauce out of a dispenser. It kinda looked like something you would get at a ball park. The fish and chips were good, but nothing to write home about and my girlfriend didn't really like her chicken sandwich. Overall the food was pricey and underwhelming in my opinion, but it was just one lunch and maybe not indicative of the rest of their food. (1,181 characters)

The atmosphere is so all American and hip. The food was also excellent! (71 characters)

Pro: I was pleasantly surprised to see the very large number of beers on tap that were brewed on-premise. I was able to drink nothing but beers I hadn't even known existed prior to my visit. All beers I tasted were very good. I had soup and a sandwich--the soup was excellent and the sandwich was good.

Con: they really needed more than one bartender when I was there at an off-peak time; he was overworked. (408 characters)

Came here while on a conference, and Blackhawks were in Stanley Cup Finals.

Very relaxed vibe. Two bars are set up and each with 20+ taps. I went with a few on premises beers. They had 50% off appetizers and $4 pours of 6% or less beers. Awesome!

Service was a little slow, for no reason I could see. Food options looked good but I enjoyed the deal on apps.

I'd come back to this nostalgic place of a brewery that made it. And they still make great beer. (467 characters)
