A really nice brewpub here with plenty of free parking. Walking in the front , the brewing equipment is to the right of the entrance. A large bar area with numerous tables and 15 or so taps is just past the brewing area. There is a non - smoking area in a room at the back of the building. This is where the wife and I choose to sit on this wednesday evening in July. It's quiet back there compared to the front bar area. There's also a banquet room next to the no smoking area they call the " bierstube ". The pub is nicely decorated with dark wood paneling, brewania, and old Chicago pictures on the walls. Service was good , though the waitress wasn't very beer savvy , she did know the tap beer selection. No cask beers this night, too bad. Of the brews they were pouring , the Saison and the Imperial Brown Goose were the highlights.
The food was better than average pub grub. Beer and food prices were on the high side of reasonable, though average for the Chicago area.
Definately one of Chicago's go to beer joints.

Met some friends for V-Day 2014 here though arrived a little late thanks to chicago's amazing traffic system. The beer was really good Identity crisis was pretty well amazing I enjoyed the fish and chips with the several beers I imbibed over the course of the evening. The waiter's knowledge of the beer was great, it was really nice to have someone who knew what the heck was on the menu instead of "it's a dark beer" or "it's kinda a light beer like you know bud light". The menu itself did a good job of explaining what was going on in many of the brews which they had several made in house exclusively but as for the personal touch the waiter did a pretty good job of offering up his thoughts on the beers. The Identity Crisis was $10 for a small snifter of the stuff probably around 5 oz, really freaking good stuff I bought another egged on by my buddy AJ but still I thought a little steep for a sample size glass. In the end I would definitely go back the place was comfortable and the people were very hospitable to say the least and the beer....well the beer speaks volumes for itself, the other beers were reasonably priced for a Chicago bar. I'd go back that's for sure, someone else needs to drive. TAXI!
