Overall, I was rather impressed by this pub of GI. I went here with my Girlfriend's dad while she was in class. The atmosphere was rather good as it reminded me of an upscale British pub. It was quiet enough of talk but not silent as it played some background music. The bar was all very dark cherry word and this decor was mixed with the more typical chicago sports and goose island beer paraphernalia. They had 14 beers on tap, all goose island and ranging the various beer types that one could want. They also had one special cask conditioned ale as well. It was decent prices for the city for beer as they ranged from 5-10 bucks depending on the drink. Could also get a 4 5oz samplers for $8 which was a great way to try some new beers. Was also impressed by the amount of beers that they had on tap that one can't get in bottles. Definitely gives one the change to try a lot of new and interesting beers that they can't get otherwise.
The food was pretty good. I had a nice salmon salad and it was very tasty. The dressing went well with the delicate nature of the salmon. The bartender was great as well and recommended the Blonde ale to try with the beer. I have to say I thought the service was good especially given that there was only one bartender on duty. Despite that, he made us feel like we were his only customer as he checked up on us all the time. They had a nice glass selection to buy as I got a pint glass and a Goose Island IPA tulip glass. Also had some nice shirts that I bought one of. Had a great time overall and definitely a bar I would go back to over and over again!

Met some friends for V-Day 2014 here though arrived a little late thanks to chicago's amazing traffic system. The beer was really good Identity crisis was pretty well amazing I enjoyed the fish and chips with the several beers I imbibed over the course of the evening. The waiter's knowledge of the beer was great, it was really nice to have someone who knew what the heck was on the menu instead of "it's a dark beer" or "it's kinda a light beer like you know bud light". The menu itself did a good job of explaining what was going on in many of the brews which they had several made in house exclusively but as for the personal touch the waiter did a pretty good job of offering up his thoughts on the beers. The Identity Crisis was $10 for a small snifter of the stuff probably around 5 oz, really freaking good stuff I bought another egged on by my buddy AJ but still I thought a little steep for a sample size glass. In the end I would definitely go back the place was comfortable and the people were very hospitable to say the least and the beer....well the beer speaks volumes for itself, the other beers were reasonably priced for a Chicago bar. I'd go back that's for sure, someone else needs to drive. TAXI!
