The beer appeared a nice, clear amber color with a nice white head that did not have much retention. The beer gave off a nice light hop aroma, fruity perhaps, but not too overpowering. The beer had a good taste to it, but the hops, pine, were overpowering, as expected (perhaps I have been drinking too many beers that are not as hop forward lately). The beer was light and was really easy to drink. Overall, FFF has better IPAs, but this one was worth a shot.

Pours a very light copper color. White fluffy head stays for a minute, then fades to a thin ring. Nice patches of lace.

Nice hoppy nose. Some citrus, mango, with a slight caramel background. A faint aspirin note as well.

Pale malt base, a bit cracker like. Some citrus hop flavor. Hops seem a bit restrained. Finishes with a touch of sweetness and an herbal fade.

Medium body, lower carbonation. Alcohol seems hidden well. Seems more like a pale, but still tasty.

On draft at Piece. Single pint poured into a nonic glass for $6, 3/4/2014.

App- Clear straw-yellow body, two finger white head with good retention, thick rings of lacing.

Smell- Crisp pale malts, some grapefruit, oranges with a dash of pine

Flavour- Similar to nose. Grapefruit balances out the caramel breadiness of the pale malts, with a bitter but not overwhelming pine finish.

Mouthfeel- Medium bodied, slightly watery and not all that resinous, drinkable without any hint of ABV. Aftertaste is pine bitterness that doesn't linger long.

Overall- Solid APA. That's about all I can say. There's nothing bad at all about this beer, but it didn't impress either. I would rather drink Alpha King or Zombie Dust any day.

Tried Marketing Ploy from 3 Floyds awhile back as well as from Piece last weekend. Swear they are the same. Very interesting and enjoyable pale ale with a unique fruity character. Can't quite distinguish whether I was tasting a hint of apricot or mango or whether the unique character of this beer were from the hop combination.

A great summer ale and a brilliant name.

Wish I could find this in bottles.
