conveniently located if you're downtown visiting in the loop. if you're just interested in beer while in this part of town, you're better off going to the clark street ale house down the street. if you want food or a larger venue then this place is fine. this place is quite big and the decor is the same as other rock bottoms. i rate this higher due to the rooftop area with a decent view of the city and it's overall scale. there is also an entertainment room (pool, darts, etc.) and probably other shit i missed. typical lineup of rock bottom standard brews and monthly special release beers. selection suffers due to no guest beers as with all RBs.the brewer here is pretty good. as such, the monthly specialty beers will be better recieved by beer geeks than the standards. service was prompt and helpful. food was good, i had the buffalo (no, not spicy chicken) fajitas which were quite tasty. way better than beef. prices are reasonable, especially given that it's in a pricey part of downtown chicago.
