If you're looking for bottle selection north of Lake Washington, this is the place to go. Great selection of micros, both local and outside the region, and they usually carry special releases such as Abyss when they are released. Prices are on par with bottle shops, if not just a hair higher, and sales are common. The beer staff is friendly and know what they're talking about, but can often be hard to find.

This is one of my regular spots for buying micros that aren't widely distrubuted in the area, and would definitely recommend a visit for BAs in the area.

One of my favorite spots to stop by in the Bothell/Lynnwood area. Extensive beer selection, from local to regional to national to international selection, a good amount of singles as well as packs. A decent wine and spirits department too. Prices are little on the high end but on par with most other finer groceries in the area.

Great variety of pre-made foods, fresh sushi bar and the whole nine. Large seafood and meat departments. Massive produce section both organic and otherwise. The staff seem to be a little indifferent, but since I generally know what I'm looking for when going there that doesn't really matter to me.

The coolest beer guys have left and while one guy remaining is helpful I can rarely find him. Nice selection here though, and many options for four and six packs which is a thing short changed at other bottle shops.

This grocery store has a pretty bomb selection of beer, however the wine crew are somewhat rude and don't seem to know anything about beer. The beer guys are pretty cool though and definitely knowledgeable.

This is the go to place for North-of-Seattle beer hunting.
They typically have a wide selection of craft beers with a few specials that can be very worthwhile. Recently, they had Victory Hop Devil for 6.99 a sixer. Prices are always reasonable whether on sale or not.
They give special dispensation to Russian River with a perennial display of Damnation, Supplication, Consecration, others.
Beer manager is top notch, very knowledgeable and helpful.
There are other good beer stores, of course, but if Mill Creek Central Market is more convenient, there is no reason to make the trek South.

If you're living in the far northern suburbs of Seattle, the Mill Creek Central Market is a great place to go if you are looking for a fairly sizable beer selection. I particularly enjoy their selection of local craft brews; they typically have four or five varieties from each brewery they stock (usually in 22s). They also carry a fairly wide selection of imports, including a pretty good Belgian selection.

On the few occasions I have had to speak with their beer staff, they have been knowledgeable and helpful. There are typically a few "staff picks" available with reviews right there on the shelf.

Living up North makes it tuff to get down to Bottleworks or Malt and Wine all the time. This is a great place for how convenient it is. One of the better selections of beer I've ever saw at a grocery store. I've found Lost Abbey, DFH, De Proef, Stone, Victory, and Avery just to name a few. They even have beers/bombers on sale! Tony is in charge of the beer section for Central Market. I've found him to be very knowledgeable about many different aspects of beer. If you ask he will try and find you what you are looking for if it's not there. If I'm shopping up North this is where I like to go.

Amazing to find this kind of selection in a grocery store. A wide array of NW bombers, 6's and not a bad belgian selection. There pricing was great - many of the above were on sale. I should've asked if I could split the 6's, put I ended up just grabbing a few singles. Otherwise a decent store. The service as far as beer was non-existent, however many of the customers had words of advice as far as selection. Since it's not far off I-5 I'd stop again if in the area.

Central Market is the closest store to me with a wide variety of beer. I go there often and have always enjoyed the selection of American micros that they have. Both the Shoreline and Mill Creek locations have a great selection in both beer and wine areas. There are more 22oz bombers available at the Mill Creek location. They have beer from most Washington and Oregon breweries along with many California options. I've seen DFH, Victory, and several other east coast brews.
Once I had to return some beer that was not quite up to par and upon entering the store and telling the cashier I was going to the back to get something else, they contacted the beer department manager who met me in the aisle. He was friendly, helpful, and at first seemed to just be trying to figure out if I knew what the beer should taste like and not expect something different. It evolved into a long discussion about beer and varieties and places to go visit to get beer. He is very knowledgable and loves beer. Eventually, he asked if I was looking for a job. Really nice guy, very helpful and very honest about the beer.
Prices are good. they don't mind customers splitting up 6-pks. There is almost always something on sale--normally one or two of the bombers are really great buys. Normal prices are competitive with the prices in supermarkets and other beer stores.
