From notes provided at bar:
A traditional Scottish Ale- amber-brown in color with a smooth malty flavor throughout. Just a hint of nutty and smoky character adds complexity to this tribute to the Scottish Legend of its name. 5.5% ABV 20 IBU's
Served from tap at Willoughby Brewing Company a few hours ago. Poured into clear pint glass.
A Light brown body with little or no head.
S Faint, difficult to smell anything but a distant tree bark smell, not very pleasing.
T Malty rotten tree bark. Very unpleasant really.
M Thin, on the light side but malty.
D Poor due to poor taste.
Notes: I appreciate WBC willingness to try different approaches to beer but this one just did not work. It was actually really gross.
Serving type: on-tap
