[On tap at MacGregor's in Penfield, NY]
Ellicottville Pale Ale is a very clear golden ale with a thick, dense white head that leaves great lacing. It has a muted aroma of cascade hops. It is medium bodied and very smooth with a crisp finish. It has a simple balanced flavor of light malt and cascade hops that lean more toward grapefruit than pine. What a great session ale!

One of two pale ales on tap at the brew pub along with the Two Brothers.Poured a lighter copper with a thinner white head that left a trace amount of lace.Mixed aromas on the lighter side some toasted malt with a hint of caramel intertwined with a soft citric note.A pretty dry pale somewhat grainy mouthfeel hops seem to be more herbal than piney/citric a dryer toasted malt backbone makes this beer very drinkable. Not overly complex if you like dry, herbal type ales this would be for you seemd more English than the american hoppy Two Brothers wich I really enjoyed,a good sociable ale to be had here.

It is my humble opinion that this lighter edition of the Two Brothers Pate Ale is the best of the Ellicottville brews to date. An exellent light pale ale with little room for improvement.
The colour is a light amber with the usual Ellicottville short head and carbonation.
A very pleasing citrus nose.
The taste says I'm a session beer, with a well balanced taste of the citrus to end.
Very nice going down.
Congrats to the brewer on this one.
