One beer from an assorted six pack gifted me by my next door neighbor after he purchased it on a recent trip to the Carolinas. Only one month old, and poured from a 12-oz can into a pint glass.
Appearance: Poured very dark brown — nearly black, and the massive fluffy tan head dissipated slowly, requiring multiple gradual pours to finally finish emptying the can into the glass; leaving adequate lacing. Really a pretty pour!
Nose: Remarkably little; a bit of dark roast, a bit of coffee.
Mouthfeel: A bit thinner than I would have expected, and a little too much carbonation.
Attack: The excessive carbonation is the first thing that hits, covering up too much what is really a nice underlying dark-roast-and-a-bit-of-coffee flavor.
Finish: Bitterness from the dark roast to balance the attack flavor.
Overall: Turn down the carbonation a bit, and I think you’ll have an adequate American Porter, and one that can be rated higher!

4/28/22 On tap at Coxe Ave. location in Asheville NC.
Nice and dark. Very slightly opaque. No lace.
Slight rum raisin in the nose.
A somewhat depth of flavor. Decent offering!

Picked up a 12 oz single as part of a mixed sixer from the Ingles cooler on Spartanburg Highway 1-20-22 for $1.83. No canning date; consumed 4-21-22. Cold stored since purchase.
Beer poured dark brown with a nice tan head that has some good hang time.
Nose is medium roasted malts and hints of floral hops.
Taste is really well done with a medium roasted malt base that emits notes of chocolate and is balanced very nicely by ample hopping with no signs of astringency.
Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and smooth and refreshing.
Overall a super drinkable porter, been awhile since my last one. Need to circle back to the style more often!

it's good enough to be one of my regularly stocked porters. Dark, thicker than some porters, with great unique aromas, and a full, roasty satisfying flavor and feel. Excellent and worthy of multiple servings! Open a can of whoopass! Just like the can says.

This is a nice comforting porter with a pleasant full feel and rich taste. Had it on draft poured into a small snifter. Deep dark brown color with good head and lacing. Strong chocolate smell and taste. Some mocha flavor along with dark berries and an earthy bitter finish. This is a beer I would definitely get again.

Poured from a can (?Apr 2020) into a pint glass
L: rich dark red brown with a thick tan/brown head. More copper red at the bottom of the pint, in light
S: really nice, full flavored nose. Chocolate, rye bread, medium/light roast coffee. That “watery” porter aroma where it’s upfront and fades very quick
T: great medium (70-75%) dark chocolate, leading to a medium roast coffee flavor. Medium/long finish
F: medium/light body, light carbonatiopn
O: chocolaty, roasty, great light porter. Full flavored, very drinkable
